Foreword
Thank you for choosing AYANEO Android handheld. AYANEO Android handhelds are equipped with custom AYAHome desktop launcher and comprehensive management software AYASpace that are independently developed, providing an industry-leading software management experience for Android handhelds.
AYAHome
AYASpace
AYAHome is a desktop launcher that integrates modern aesthetic design and personalized experience. It is fully compatible with controller button operations and offers a wealth of personalized settings and convenient features, making it easy for you to quickly find the games, software, and functional settings you need.
AYANEO software consists of three major components: AYASpace, AYASetting, and AYAWindow. Long-press the AYA button at the bottom right to enter AYASpace for game management, and short-press the AYA button to open the AYA Quick Settings window.
- AYASpace: Import and manage retro games from multiple platforms and systems. You can choose the game cover display format and quickly launch games.
- AYASetting: Covers functional settings related to console performance, controller, device, and personalization.
- AYAWindow: The AYA Quick Settings window allows you to quickly adjust settings for performance, controller, device, etc., with a single button press.
To ensure the normal use of all functions, please do not forcibly stop these three processes in the process manager.
The functions of AYAHome and AYASpace will continue to be updated and optimized. Some functions rely on hardware implementation. Therefore, the introduction and illustrations in this document are for reference only. The specific functions of each model are subject to the actual situation.
AYAHome Launcher
AYAHome desktop launcher is divided into three major sections: “Home,” “App Library,” and “Search,” and it supports both controller button operations and touch controls.
Home Page
It features a large grid layout where you can add your frequently used and favorite games and applications for quick and easy access. It also supports setting app background wallpapers to enhance the personalized experience.
After selecting an application, press the Y button or long-press the icon to open the extended menu, where you can perform operations such as hiding/uninstalling the application and removing it from the home page.
App Library
It displays all the installed games and applications, which can be launched by pressing the A button or tapping on the screen.
After selecting an application, press the Y button or long-press the icon to open the extended menu, where you can add the application to the home page or create a folder.
Press the right joystick or tap the “Layout” at the bottom of the screen to enter the desktop grid customization settings. Here, you can customize the icon arrangement, sorting rules, icon style and size, set a global wallpaper, and view hidden applications.

Tap the search bar or press the X button in the app library to open the search function and quickly find the desired app.

AYASpace
AYASpace is a game content management center designed specifically for the AYANEO Android handheld console, featuring a retro style and unique functions.
AYASpace is divided into five sections: "Focus," "Library," "Moments," "Settings," and "Personal Center."
Note: The game database only provides convenient management functions for locally imported games. AYANEO does not offer any form of game resource download.
Game Import
You can connect a USB flash drive or external hard drive containing the game package to the handheld via a USB-C data cable, or connect to a PC to copy the game package to the handheld; or insert a Micro SD card containing game package.
After entering AYASpace, select "Import Game Package" and follow the tutorial to import game packages in formats such as Pegasus G and ES. AYASpace will then automatically perform game data scraping and categorization.
Focus
Display your recently played and collected local games in the form of image and video covers. You can also create a "My Game List" for your favorite games, making it convenient for you to categorize different games more meticulously and play them quickly at any time.
Library
Imported local games will be displayed categorized by all games and game platforms. Press the right stick or touch and select the "Arrange" at the bottom of the screen to change the number of columns in the arrangement.
Select the game platform to enter the game library, where games will be displayed in the form of image and video covers. Press the right stick to set the cover layout, number of columns, sorting rules, and cover material source.
When the cursor stays on the game cover, touch and select or press the A button to enter the game's detail page, and press the Y button to run the game directly.
Moments
You can view screenshots taken while playing games here, including retro games and other games on the handheld device.
Setting
You can set the theme, language, and details related to game video covers of AYASpace here.
Personal Center
You can register and log in to your AYANEO account here. This section will also display the recently played games, and you can create new game lists.
Quick Start of AYASetting
In AYASetting, you can complete common functional settings for using handheld and quickly jump to system settings.
Performance
AYANEO Android handhelds offer four performance modes: "Power Saving" "Balanced" "Gaming" and "Max".
You can quickly switch between these modes in the settings center and the AYA Quick Settings window to meet the performance needs of different games.
Depending on product positioning, some models will additionally support the "Streaming" mode. After enabling it, you can enjoy a lower-latency and more stable streaming gaming experience.
Performance modes allow you to freely set fan modes, CPU & GPU clock speeds, and other specific parameters, offering a highly customizable and personalized performance experience.
Of course, there are risks in performance tuning. Therefore, we recommend that experienced players can DIY settings, while novice players can simply use the official preset plans.
Controller
Functions related to controller buttons include settings such as "Lighting Effects" "Controller Calibration" "Controller Style" "Keyboard and Mouse Mode" and "Custom Buttons".
You can set the controller style to either the AYANEO style using the DInput protocol or the Xbox style using the XInput protocol.
You can set the shortcut combination key to turn on/off the keyboard and mouse mode, using controller buttons to simulate functions and operations of keyboard and mouse.
You can assign desired functions to LC / RC / “=” and Turbo buttons. A single button can be set with multiple functions, and the same button action can trigger the corresponding functions in turn. You can also assign different functions for long presses and short presses.
You can also set a whitelist of applications. The custom button settings will only take effect when the whitelisted application is running in the foreground.
Device
Functions related to improving the device usage experience include settings such as "Root Scripts" "Device Disguise" "Screen Settings" "Fan Settings" "Screen Casting Settings" and "Turn Off WiFi When Screen is Off".
You can obtain Root permissions through the Root Script feature to meet more advanced DIY needs. Of course, there are risks associated with rooting, so please use it cautiously.
Some high-performance models support device disguise. You can modify the handheld model to mainstream smartphone model to unlock specific mobile game quality and frame rate options, thus achieving a smoother and higher-definition gaming experience.
You can quickly adjust screen settings without jumping to system settings menu. High-refresh-rate models additionally support modifying refresh rate settings, and 2K-screen models can choose between 2K and 1080P resolutions.
If the handheld is connected to an external display, you can choose display method for the main and secondary screens as well as screen casting resolution in screen casting settings.
Personalization
You can set the system wallpaper, whether the AYA Quick Settings window should pop up with a performance mode switch animation prompt, and whether the “=” button requires a double confirmation to return to the desktop.
Update
This section will notify you of updates for AYAHome, AYASetting, and AYASpace. To continuously enhance your user experience, we recommend that you update promptly upon receiving the notifications.
Quick Start of AYA Quick Settings Window
AYA Quick Settings Window is a condensed version of the AYASetting center, which can be summoned by briefly pressing the AYA button at any time within any game or application, allowing you to conveniently access and adjust the desired functions.
Performance
Display real-time data of parameters such as FPS, CPU, GPU, and fan speed. You can quickly switch performance modes, fan modes, and open the performance data floating window; high-refresh-rate models additionally support quick switching of refresh rate settings.
Controller
You can enable the button mapping function and quickly adjust vibration modes, trigger modes, joystick sensitivity / flip / dead zone modes, ABXY button layout, gyroscope, and button repeat functions.
Handheld
You can quickly adjust basic functions of the handheld,such as brightness, volume, WiFi, and Bluetooth.
Quick Settings
Similar to the design of smartphone control center, it not only includes basic functions such as WiFi and airplane mode, but also practical functions like screen capture and screen recording, which can be accessed with a single button press without pulling down the control center.
